The ISAL board are delighted to announce that Dr Laura Grabowski has accepted an invitation to become a member of the board and take up the new board position of Diversity Chair.
Laura is a faculty member of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Faculty Affiliate with the BEACON Center for the Study of Evolution in Action. She is actively involved in inclusion and outreach activities, and has a growing list of diversity-related academic publications.
The board created the role of Diversity Chair to encourage active engagement in society activities by the full range of current and potential ALife community members.
We extend a warm welcome to Laura in her new role.
